Location: Remote (European time zone) or Berlin, Germany, with travel opportunities across Europe
Commitment: Part-Time or Full-Time, depending on workload and event calendar
About Us
The European Defense Tech Hub (EDTH) is building Europe’s largest grassroots defense innovation community.
Through hackathons, conferences, workshops, field demonstrations, and media, we bring together engineers, founders, operators, investors, industry, and policymakers to accelerate European defense innovation.
We are not a think tank. We are a do tank.
Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive Content Manager who can help us turn everything happening across EDTH into stories, campaigns, and content that drive growth.
You will be responsible for keeping our channels active and up to date, identifying opportunities before they become obvious, and helping transform events, startups, partnerships, and community successes into compelling content that grows our community, attracts sponsors, and strengthens the EDTH brand.
The ideal candidate combines strong execution with strategic thinking. You don’t just publish content—you think about what content should exist in the first place.
Success in This Role
Your work should directly contribute to:
- Increasing participation at EDTH events
- Showcasing EDTH alumni, startups, and success stories
- Generating inbound sponsor, partner, and supporter leads
- Strengthening EDTH as Europe’s leading defense tech community
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Publishing & Channel Management
Maintain and regularly update all EDTH communication channels:
- Upload and schedule LinkedIn posts
- Publish articles and blog posts on our website
- Upload and optimize YouTube videos
- Ensure content is correctly formatted across channels
- Maintain content calendars and publishing schedules
- Keep websites, landing pages, and event pages up to date
2. Website & WordPress Management
- Manage and update our WordPress websites
- Create and update landing pages
- Improve homepage messaging and content
- Ensure information across websites remains accurate and current
- Support SEO and discoverability efforts
3. Alumni Stories & Community Content
One of your most important responsibilities will be uncovering stories from within the EDTH community.
Examples include:
- Startups that raised funding
- Teams that launched products
- Alumni hired by defense companies
- Teams entering accelerators such as NATO DIANA or EUDIS
- Partnerships formed through EDTH
- Interesting projects emerging from hackathons
You will proactively follow up with alumni, founders, mentors, and partners, gather information, conduct short interviews, and turn these into articles, social media posts, newsletters, videos, and case studies.
4. Campaign Development & Growth Marketing
We are looking for someone who thinks ahead.
Examples:
- Identifying when an upcoming hackathon needs additional promotion
- Creating sponsor visibility campaigns before sponsors ask for them
- Building anticipation before major announcements
- Developing alumni spotlight series
- Creating content around major European defense developments relevant to our community
Rather than waiting for instructions, you proactively identify opportunities and propose campaigns.
5. Analytics & Performance Tracking
- Monitor website traffic and content performance
- Track backlinks and SEO opportunities using Ahrefs
- Monitor referral traffic and campaign performance
- Identify which content drives registrations, engagement, and sponsor interest
- Recommend improvements based on data
6. Sponsor & Brand Visibility
Support sponsor acquisition and retention by:
- Producing content that demonstrates EDTH’s impact
- Highlighting partner involvement
- Creating sponsor success stories
- Building media assets and content that help convert future sponsors and partners
